DURHAM, NC – Sentinel announced today that it will significantly expand its NC-1 facility in Durham, NC building out 120,000 gross square feet, 50,000 square feet of “white space” and up to 10 megawatts of critical load.

The “Phase II” expansion comes as the existing 100,000 square foot NC-1 facility nears capacity and demand for Sentinel’s enterprise focused colocation solutions remains strong. Sentinel has pre-leased capacity within the “Phase II” expansion and intends to bring the facility addition online in the summer of 2016.

Sentinel’s NC-1 Phase II design will integrate the latest best-practices from across the industry to maximize reliability, scalability, energy efficiency and ease-of-use. Sentinel will continue to utilize modular building blocks to enable customization of power densities and resiliency levels on a granular basis within each customer’s dedicated suite.
